McDonald’s delivery service is becoming more and more prominent as the restaurants continue to pop up all over the globe. A huge demand has developed for McDonald’s burgers, so much so that there is now around 25 cities offering delivery service for their Mcdonalds cusomters.

Primarily based in New York City, McDonald’s has introduced a door to door delivery service that will drop off your menu selection, similar to how traditional delivery pizza works. This trend is taking off internationally. In high traffic cities such as Manila, McDonald’s restaurants delivers constantly. Drive up windows are often clogged and turn customers away so the best option for the business was to drop off the food right at the customer’s door (for a small charge).

Currently, McDonald’s delivers in about 25 cities worldwide, with many more to come. Sadly, it doesn’t look like any of the planned locations are in the U.S. The delivery system has been a success in busy international cities where there is no space for drive-thrus, as well as cheap labor perform deliveries. Manhattan seems to be the only U.S. city where the model makes sense. A handful of McDonald’s will deliver to nearby areas only. In most cases though, space isn’t an issue in the U.S. and people are more apt to simply pick up the meal themselves.
